Izaak Levison-Share is a video editor and graduate from Columbia College Chicago, receiving a B.A. in Film & Video with honors. He loves the idea of taking different artistic elements and media, and bringing them together to create a whole new piece with a voice all its own.
Izaak strives to adapt his editing style to best serve each project he’s working on and celebrate the spirit and integrity of the piece. He especially enjoys mixing sound design and working with music. He has worked on a variety of different projects including music videos, short narratives, documentaries and commercials, many of which he was involved in the preproduction and production as well as post. His technical know-how includes Adobe Premier, AVID Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, and DaVinci Resolve, and he has worked with film, P2, 5D and R3D footage, from ingest to export.
Izaak has worked as the in house senior video editor for PUREi and in the past has been a contributing video editor for Second City Communications. He was also a collaborator with CelebrateIt.TV, editing the popular music video "All Night, All Right" for Clive Tanaka. Three short films Izaak worked on, "An Honest Life", "Call Me Crazy", and "Straight or Alive" have successfully made their rounds in the festival circuit with positive responses. He has also worked with a variety of clients such as Ulta Beauty, Discovery Education, Magic Chef, Grand Appliance and TV, Unilever, PayCor, Netflix, System Sensor, McGraw Hill, Course Hero, Clorox, Cengage, Dedert, Jotform and Marshall Associates.
Izaak edited the feature-length sci-fi film "Amelia 2.0," which began principal photography on location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in September, 2014. The film was produced by More Productions and stars Ed Begley Jr. (PORTLANDIA, YOU’RE NOT YOU, ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT), Kate Vernon (NCIS, THE 100, BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) and Eddie Jemison (iZOMBIE, MASTERS OF SEX). Lightning Entertainment, who is representing the film's international rights, premiered exclusive footage at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. The film had its world premier at the Collins Road Theater in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on August 4th, 2017.
On April 21, 2018, Amelia 2.0 was nominated in several categories at the 27th Iowa Motion Picture Awards by the Iowa Motion Picture Association (IMPA), where Izaak received the award for Achievement in Editing, Long Form.
Most recently, Izaak partnered with AL Media for the 2022 Midterm election, working on ads for various campaigns such as Raphael Warnock, Stacey Abrams, and Katie Hobbs, as well as organizations like ACLU, and Opportunity for All.
